Abstract

Post cardiac injury syndrome complicating acute myocardial infarction is well known but its progression to constrictive pericarditis is extremely rare. We report a case of 60 year old male who underwent a primary percutneous intervention for acute myocardial infarction. Subsequently he developed chronic constrictive pericarditis which improved dramatically after pericardiectomy.
